We live in Lincolnshire, which means we basically live on a billiard table; it is flatter than a flat thing on a flat day (and quite possibly flatter than that). Thankfully, just 20 miles north we get into the Lincolnshire Wolds, miles of rolling hills and most of it is arable farmland and, for a week of landscape challenge is, well boring.
Four hours pootling around the wolds this late morning/early afternoon we stopped numerous times and waited for the sun to come out from behind dark ominous clouds to provide some definition of the farmland.
This was one of the earlier shots, which had the ploughed undulating fields almost entirely lit by full sun. The colour is straight out of camera, no manipulation at all, that is the colour of the soil (5 miles away, it’s almost white due to the chalk)
Depending on commitments later in the week, we may venture up into Yorkshire for real landscapes.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
