Staying the weekend with my Brother and Sister in Law, I also met these two gorgeous German Short Haired Pointers, Molly and Ryanna. Both are rescue dogs from Cyprus that my Brother and his Wife imported from a Cypriot Dog’s Welfare Charity. Both have been very badly treated, both have holes in the ears where as puppies they will have been nailed to the floor and guns fired near to them so they ‘get used to the noise’ and you can feel the healed broken ribs on both dogs. They were very welcoming and quite gorgeous.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
But their story makes me sick. I can't believe someone would do that. My dogs are so scared of the noise of thunder and fireworks that they would rather go earless and skinless than endure shotguns.
It's never ceases to amaze (or rather stun) to see or hear how people could ever so mistreat such beautiful (or really any) animal. Rescue dogs are often the best. We have three of our own and my daughters have four more.
