They say that one of the worst things about being an adult is deciding what to eat each day.
Carole can cook, but doesn’t enjoy cooking. I can cook and do enjoy cooking. I’ve been working from home since March 2020 and have done most of the cooking and have become a tad bored with what I cook; what we eat. The question “what do you fancy” is incredibly hard to answer for both of us.
The other weekend I stayed with my Brother and Sister in Law and Tracy showed me this company and told me how fantastic they are; you can order up to 5 meals a week, or as few as 1, and it’s all couriered to your door. All the ingredients measured out and a recipe book as to how to cook it and they proudly state they are 100% carbon neutral. Each week they ‘suggest’ your meals and you can swap out and change them as you see fit (binning the Tofu for example).
Signed up last week to 2 meals a week; our first order arrived today, it’s all decanted into the fridge, first go at cooking something ‘different’ tomorrow - don’t know yet if it will be the Herby sausages with caramelised onion and tomato gravy or the tuna steak with orange and peanut noodle salad.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
(Oh yeah, other weekly dinner subscription folk are available)
Same in our house. I cook to eat, Hubby cooks because he likes to cook. I will ask him if he would like to try something like this. It does sound good.
Due to the pandemic so many people tired of their own cooking, companies like you described are doing very well here. I think you and Carole will enjoy this new service!
