My point and shoot camera finally got a clear picture of a bird in flight. Have you seen one of these in your neighborhood? I always carry around my camera now when I walk our dog, just to be ready for such sightings :-) Just one of my hokey days... did you notice there was even bird droppings on the plant? Your chance to name this species!
@sbolden good one, Scott! You must gave come to that conclusion based on the size of the beak, flatness of the feet, monochromatic (although it is purple) plumage, and some hydrocarbon testing!
