Good Mum

This is not a hi fi photo, thanks to the iphone I was able to snap this before they moved on. Isn't it great that this peahen has managed to get so many of her chicks through this far and not lose them to foxes, dogs or cats! They are now old enough to roost in a tree at night so have a good chance. Yes that is one "playing dead" in front of her, they love a sunbath, as well as a real bath in our birdbath!

Aren't they the cutest little chicks, hope they all survive. I can't imagine them able to fly to a roosting spot in a tree :)
