Grand Gum version II by pusspup

Grand Gum version II

This is a new version on yesterday's posting after following a tutorial from Kelvin Designs to create the dramatic lighting. I purchased a few of his tutorials, but this one is a freeby.
I'm curious to hear which version you prefer.
Nice and very cool processing.

Although this is great, the previous one is an absolute winner for me :-)

Tough call Wylie..... I like both of them although I think this one has focused on the lighting so much that it has lost some of its bush characteristics. I guess it's aiming for a totally different result - and it does draw you into the image nicely. Maybe my choice would be the first one - but a little bit desaturated? Hard to know but fun to play with! :)

This one looks spookier but the other one is clearer and shows the detail more.

If creating a a horror scene - well done, but I prefer the other with more detail and colour !

I really like the other one with the beautiful lighting.... This one doesn't stand out for me.

I don't know. This one is very moody and dramatic!

Interesting to play with the light, my eye is definitely drawn to different details in both pics. I’m partial to the first on with the details of the grasses.

I think that some of the detail is lost in this one, so I prefer the the first version.

I like the way the light seems to be in rays in this one but the shadows are very dark… each evokes a different mood and are equally nice.

This one definitely has a dramatic and compelling atmosphere to it. As an overall image though, I prefer the first one.

Very cool. I like it.

I do like this one a lot, but my preference is for yesterdays version.

oooh all mysterious feeling

Wow, I am going against the grain, this just has that feel!!!!

It is an interesting thing you learned to do. The monochrome and lighting give this image an old world feel compared to the color version.

I like the details and light in the previous shot. Maybe try this on a different subject.

Very mysterious and movie scene like. Well done.

Think like the first one the best. Although, this one turned out really nice, also.

Great light and processing.
