for Throwback Thursday: a couple of rather old pics taken with my first digital camera when p&s often meant (to me, anyway) magical but sometimes disastrous. I've sharpened them a bit and HDR-ished them a bit, both in Picasa before making the diptych.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Beryl, you were obviously carried away by the brilliance of my diptych(!) and missed my commentary - these amaryllis are very old, approx 10 years!! Did you get your parcel?!
@quietpurplehaze Appologies lol didn't multitask very well this morning waiting for the door bell -- looking at the diptych but failed to read your comment properly - how remiss of me -- lesson learnt !! ha ha !! Parcel came to Alfie's delight --I get his dry food over the net easier and cheaper than the nearest pet shop --so he is Ok now for a month or two !!
No problems Beryl - didn't want you to be waiting with baited breath (!) for those flower shots..... Glad Alfie has his food now. I opened a new packet for Jinks just now only to find that Ray opened one yesterday - different flavours so he can now have one in the morning and one in the afternoon (Jinks that is, not Ray!) Time for the afternoon walk - it looks cold and windy out there.
I keep wanting to talk to Bertie! He looks so intent! Thanks for your comments: in some ways I yearn for the photographic ignorance of my point and shoot days!!
Great diptych of two beautiful pic.`s of those wonderful Amaryllis flowers.
The processing with Picasa I often do to on my pic.`s ( without mention it )
It's made me think I might try to buy a bulb somewhere(market perhaps) as they are so spectacular the way they appear on those long stalks. Years ago we were always giving amaryllis as Christmas gifts!

Claire, plant it before it's too late! They are very easy and spectacular.
I think they could be still available in a garden centre, ready planted - I want one too after posting this!
