I really set out to shoot a macro of a cluster of blossoms but I'd forgotten how hard it is with this bush - even with a different camera - must be to do with the shape and colour of the individual flowers (any constructive criticisms welcome). Perhaps the traffic on the main road didn't help with 'gusts of wind' as each car passed. I had to totally give up photographing some yellow witch- hazel higher up the road for this reason.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
nice image the flower and brick colour go together well. The golden rule we were always taught about macro was magnification is very much higher and any movement is also magnified
I like how you've done this one. The softness of the flowers on the brick, the perspective and I like the fallen flowers farther back. Maybe for the yellow witch- hazel you could get a friend to stand in to block the breeze from the traffic?
I probably should go up the road on my own and wait until there is no traffic coming down the hill. (Walks are usually just Jinks and me - and he's not big enough to block the breeze! Thanks for the idea.)

Sounds interesting, thank you and maybe the breeze was the influencing factor.
Hope they come out soon! There are several of these bushes in gardens around here.
But seriously, this is very lovely. :)
