Wonderful pov on this! Yes, I think it's sad that our corner shops are now "convenience" stores/gas stations. Not much charm in that, is there? And yet, well captured! ;)
Hmm, hadn't thought of that! I suppose my local corner shop is in a petrol station. Although I never go, may as well carry on to the supermarket. We do get a mobile shop that comes into our village.

@quietpurplehaze We have one of those too and a mobile post office calls three times a week. I would not say we are remote or isolated, we have a shopping complex with Tesco, Sainsburys, M&S food, Next, Boots about 6 miles away, strange isn't it.
I think that's due to the reflection of the blue sky in the water - the puddle was quite muddy!
