@olivetreeann They turned out pretty well. I've eaten them all day. I have got to put most of them into the freezer or I'll explode! @wakelys Thanks Sue. They're pretty good. @grammyn Thank you Katy. I was so surprised that the biscuit cutter was yellow and that the dough was sort of yellowish, too. Voila. Today's rainbow photo. @tunia I just learned about them last year Tunia. Mary Siegle (@mcsiegle) is interested in the Welsh culture and mentioned that 3/1 is St. David's Day and the Welsh often made Welsh cake for their celebration. Can't go out and buy them in a store here, so we decided to try and make them. for more photos see @grammyn@30pics4jackiesdiamond and of course Mary. They're sort of a biscuit-y, pancake-y cookie/cake. Supposed to have currents in them but I couldn't find any so settling for raisins, golden ones at that. @summerfield Yup. @pyrrhula They're good to me Ferry but I know you don't eat sweets.
@grammyn I sure do! @kjarn Well, I made mine off a recipe from Allrecipes.com. Tasty and filling. @30pics4jackiesdiamond I wish they were currents. None to be found in this town. And I picked out the best ones to photograph. @craftymeg The cake itself has a bit of sugar but not overwhelmingly sweet. The extra sugar sprinkled on after cooked makes them a bit sweeter, but still not overwhelmingly so. Rich. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. @haskar Thank you. I like them, but would probably only make them for this annual occasion. @pyrrhula Haha!
