Does anyone still wear a hat?

Panama Hats, associated with the tropics at the turn of the century, are popular in the high end shops in Honolulu. They range in price from $200-$800 each! My husband looked smashing in the one he tried on but who would spend a small fortune for a hat, only to have it crushed in the overhead bin on the way home?
