Guess that short cool spell we had just wasn't enough to drive these guys into hibernation or whatever they go into. Don't mind seeing this one, but some of the others, I can do without. Typical black snake, 4 to 5 foot long.
Good catch - think I'm more like Esther though - have only shot one snake picture and that's when I first saw him at a distance and slowly approached while watching for any sign of movement! I don't ask for identity - just assume it's a no-no. :)
