And wouldn't you know it. When I left the house this morning for golf, I checked the chrysalis and all seemed calm. When I got home, the wife was all frantic and had been trying to get in touch with me, to tell me that the butterfly had emerged. So as soon as I got in, had to grab the camera and start trying to get a few shots. She also missed it coming out of the chrysalis. That was what I really wanted to see. Oh well. Anyway, kept it inside to let it's wings fully dry out and then this afternoon, took it outside and set it free. It just hung on to a limb of the bush, so I left it there in hopes that it will be able to finish whatever it has to do and then move on with it's life.
