Dogwood flowers

A straggly native bush which is quite uninteresting until it flowers. Then it becomes a wonderful blaze of colour.
oh - that is lovely

@shilohmom Hi Batya - thanks for your comment. And we just noticed today that the honey eaters like them too!

Beautiful colours .. I love the light on them, highlighting just a few.

You really did a good job on the composition here, getting the light on that petal just off center....I can just imagine all the different positions you could have shot in/from and you really chose well. I like the sense of movement from all the stems as well.

Wonderful lighting and great angle to have the blossoms be a sort of leading line.

@bintal Thank you Sylvia - Early afternoon light sneaks in under the forest - makes a real difference. Thanks for your feedback! Cheers Rob

@granagringa Hi Madeline - thanks for your comment - and you are so right - my dog thought I was quite mad scrambling around under the bush - especially when it was supposed to be her walk time. I'm pleased that you think it was worth the effort. Thanks for your feedback. Nice to talk to you again - I've been really tied up too - stupid car accident makes you realize how much you depend on your car! Cheers for now. Rob :)

@taffy Hi Taffy - Thank you so much for your encouraging comment - these bushes are so straggly that it's quite hard to get a photo that is pleasing - this was one of several attempts! My dog waited quite patiently but obviously thought I was mad! Cheers Rob
