Colourful colony

The rainforest had had a few showers and some fungi were appearing. This little colony was on a damp stick - each one was approx. 0.5 cm across.

@casablanca LOL - Coloured veges = very good for you, Coloured fungi = very bad for you. Funny about that hey? These were so bright - this is SOOC except for a crop. :)

the cute ones are so often where the dangers lie....aside from the subject, the photo is so well done, m'dear....I love the angle of the tress in the background and the background light and the bokeh...and that's just the background. Set off so well by the deep orange and the dark below....the shot is far yummier than the fungi!

@granagringa I just love your comments Madelaine - you made me hungry!! And I had to laugh when I saw the background trees again!! The fungi were really so gorgeous that it would have been hard to take a poor photo of them. The lighting in the rainforest really helped too. My camera seems to handle macros like this very well. - maybe they work well with the lens associated with it's compact structure? I am glad you liked this shot - I was pretty pleased with it too.
