@fbailey Hi FB - It is good when it runs - and the drop is due to the site being an old slate mine - they blasted the slate out of the creek bed and created huge cliffs - it's a bit dangerous but very interesting. Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob
@taffy Hi Taffy - thanks for your comment re the sense of height - it really helps as that was what I was trying to convey. It is about 30-40m to the bottom and it makes a wonderful noise when it runs - it was all originally a part of an old slate mine. We think they used water from this weir to wash the slate. It's all overgrown by vine forest now and is quite a feature. Thanks again for your comments. Cheers Rob
@nobled Thanks Dorothy - it is pretty cool when it runs - but it doesn't last for long. In years gone by it used to run or trickle all the time but the change in rainfall patterns has stopped that. It is a worry! :)
@fr1da Hi Frida -thanks for your concern but it never causes us any problem - the creek is well away from our house and well below the level of our house. We love hearing it water go over the falls. Cheers Rob
@casablanca I loved your comment Casablanca - that is exactly what I was trying to show. It was surprisingly difficult to get that impression. Many thanks for your feedback!! Cheers Rob
