A bit of fun with the little underwater camera. The water is warm, the crocs are hopefully gone or very small and only "freshies" .The creek carries you along through pandanus and paperbark forest - you emerge at the other end and go back for another go!
A pool noodle is the recognized means of transport.
NB Just realised proportions are all wrong - but you get the idea.. Cheers Rob
What a great pic! Your perspective is so good, allowing us to see people in and under the water and also to have a glimpse of the beautiful place. Now for the crocs, I find you so very brave!
Hi Everyone - thanks so much for your great comments on this bit of fun. We're in the Northern territory now and they've just had some severe flooding. This means saltwater crocs ( the big ones that eat you!) can move further inland and then remain in freshwater areas. They're territorial so rangers can check an area to see if one has taken up abode there. There are often small, fresh-water crocs in the inland water holes etc but they have much different diets, habits and teeth and are usually considered pretty harmless. When it's really hot the swimming spots are too good to miss.. Thanks for all of your interest. @wakelys@maggiemae@casablanca@corinnec@pdulis@johnfalconer@craftymeg@haskar@koalagardens@carole_sandford@ludwigsdiana
