This is Gordon (my golf). It's a 2.0 GT TDI and a brilliant car which I love. Somebody kindly wrote off my previous car by deciding to head straight for me while overtaking an artic lorry through the next village. In order to avoid hitting him head on, I swerved and unfortunately hit a tree resulting in the car landing upside down sideways in the middle of the road. Fortunately, the lorry managed to stop otherwise he would have hit me so we lived to tell the tale! Only this week after 2.5 years, I finally received compensation for the injuries I sustained. Anyway, I am entering Gordon for the October list challenge as the theme today is metalic and he sure has a good metalic body with blue metalic paint. I'm a strong believer that out of something bad, something good always happens and Gordon is the something good! He goes like stink and although I don't drive like an idiot, it is nice to know that if you need the power, you've got it. I've also taken another one for the challenge which you can find in my Bits & Bobs album
@soboy5@busylady@talk2et Thank you. I had the car cleaned while I was doing my shopping on Wednesday but if examined closely, it doesn't look quite as good as it does on the pics!
Great collage,a very nice car!!You were so lucky in your accident!!My last but one car was written off...a young joyrider,in a stolen car, deliberately drove out of a cul-de-sac and came straight at my car,the drove off!! Luckily some neighbours saw it happen,it was only yards from home,I was only going out for a morning paper.
@carolmw It is really horrible when someone does something like this and it took me a long time to get over the accident as it made me really nervous driving - so much so that I had to go to a Therapist to overcome it. Fortunately, I'm driving again OK now!
A clean car, how do you do that?
Loving the photos
