Wise old bird

This one was taken through the kitchen window before I went for a quick walk down Wood Lane. Loads of birds have been feeding here this morning and this blackbird stopped by waiting his turn on the fence. I'm a bit worried about the chestnut mare as there are no tyre tracks or footsteps (other than mine) near her field but she is shut in the stable and I saw her looking out. I'm going to be keeping a look out as I don't think anyone has been near since the snow came but I'm going to find out whether there is another entrance to the field but I don't think so otherwise they wouldn't have waded through the floods to get to her!
