I went for a very long walk today and walked through Bulge Wood and all round the lakes which are really flooded across the track so I had to paddle! There weren't very many birds about but I stopped and had a chat to a fisherman who hadn't caught anything and he'd been there since 7.30 am! He must have been frozen because I had to walk fairly fast to keep warm. When I got to the flooded part, I wished I had accepted his offer of a lift but I needed the walk after a huge great meal at my daughter's last night! Roast beef and all the trimmings followed by amaretto tart that she had made - yummy!
Very pretty. I've just been taking shots of this same tree today! Is it blackthorn do you know? Another coincidence: we had roast dinner last night. I think that poor fisherman could have done with some hot food!
