This was actually taken yesterday when I walked round Priory. I am absolutely gutted because after taking 3 pics of a cat in my garden this morning, I then decided to take some pics of a little robin singing in the hedge. What's wrong with that you might think! My lovely D7100 has suddenly stopped taking pics! Well at least you press the shutter button, it sounds as though it's taking the shot and then when you review the pic, it is just a black screen. It appears to be focusing but nothing is obviously happening. I've tried changing the battery even though I put the recharged one in last night. I've changed the memory card. I've tried putting everything back to default values and tried automatic programming but nothing is happening. It looks as though it will have to go back. It is under warranty but I had a problem with my Nikon bridge camera under warranty and Nikon were hopeless at fixing it because it came back worse than when I sent it to them. I'm really upset as I love the camera and have spent too much money on lenses to change to any other brand. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
To see the last photo taken with it, please look in my bits & bobs album
Super shot -I am so sorry to hear of your camera miss function I hope they will repair to your satisfaction and SOON It-s so upsetting when a favourite breaks down without a reason !
Well SLR's have been around for donkeys years and are still going strong! Maybe like the modern washing machines of today, they are not so robust! Quite sure though that this is probably something electrical with the sensor and should be able to be replaced, or any other part for that matter.
Neat little capture. Hope you get your camera sorted soon, if you have problems with Nikon, you can always tell them, hundreds of people around the world are following their progress or lack of it.
