This is SOOC - I couldn't stop the welsh mountain lambs from coming up close to me and I had my 400mm lens on so this is the reason why I've not quite got his nose on properly. There are 3 of these sheep in a field near where I work and the chap that owns them came out while I was there and explained to me why they were so friendly. They are show sheep - he takes his sheep to 10 or 12 shows a year and one of his welsh mountain sheep was sold recently for £750. I asked him whether it was sold for breeding as I couldn't imagine anyone putting mint sauce on a lovely sheep like this. There coats are not really huge as he has them sheared so they go inside at night. They are such lovely friendly animals and he also has some white sheet with black faces. He did tell me what kind they were but I can't remember what he said as I was so taken with the Baa baa black sheep!
At least it makes a change from birds LOL. Today I've got a real problem with my broadband again as it is just so slow that it takes ages for images to load to view so I may not be able to comment as much as I would like on your pics. I do apologise and blame BT!
I like these sheep, there's a small flock we see in the peak district in a particular place who are always rather friendly. They're Balwen Welsh Mountain sheep, here's one of "ours"... http://365project.org/roachling/365/2013-02-17
