When I got home from work, Steve told me that he had seen a little bird going into the nest box so I switched on my other laptop and had a look to see what was going on. I was delighted to see that a little bird has been taking in some nest material so it looks as though the box is going to be used. It doesn't take much for me to get excited! Anyway, as I was leaving the house to go for a walk, this little fellow popped up in the holly bush right in my line of view and as I had the camera in my hand, I couldn't resist. I wonder whether this one is part of the couple who are building the nest. It might not be as we have a lot of birds coming into the garden and I saw a few long tailed tits on the suet feeder too. A female blackbird is also building a nest somewhere as she was foraging in the rockery and had a beakful of bits before flying off.
