I was sitting in the conservatory when I heard an almighty bang! It was this young blackbird who had obviously flown into the roof and she just sat on the water tub outside getting her breath back. She sat there long enough for me to get this shot and also even when I opened the conservatory door right next to her, she didn't attempt to fly away.
Poor Bas is not very well so we may have to cancel our B&B for tomorrow. We think he has had a stroke as his right foot can't cling on too well. He has been having what we think are small strokes that only last a few minutes but this time it seems to have lasted for about 12 hours or more. We found him in the bottom of his cage but he seems to be able to climb about but with some difficulty. We are just keeping an eye on him at the moment. Steve will be heartbroken if anything happens to him and I will be very very sad but I know that he looks on him as the little boy he didn't have.
What a sad story about Bas, hope it's alright. And that young bird too, at least it gave you the chance of a photograph. FAV. Mine yesterday was mowing the lawn whilst yours today want's to water it.
