This is another one from yesterday's trip to RSPB as it has been wet and horrible this morning. We had a fabulous talk from Darren Harbar last night at Camera Club. He talked about and showed images of birds and aircraft and there are only 4 other aerial photographers in this country that do air to air shots and his photos can be found on magazine covers such as Pilot, Fly By, etc. They are absolutely superb and the lengths he goes to in order to get these shots is amazing. I really enjoyed it and couldn't get to sleep last night for the buzz it gave me.
I had a day with Darren when I first bought my DSLR as I didn't know how to attach the lens when I got it! He showed me the basics and I've never looked back really just looked forward to taking photos each day. He came over to speak to me before the presentation and gave me a big hug which was really nice as I used to work with his wife many years ago. He said that he had seen some of my pics on Facebook and was impressed which was a huge compliment from someone like him. It was a great evening.
I'm off to AV group tonight. We only meet once a month which is probably just as well because Steve will be on his own again tonight and I'm not sure how much I can get away with! LOL
Anyway, thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated and I will try to catch up with commenting soon.
Super little fluffy chap. Like your story too. When I did my photography day with the U3A we had a professional couple who were excellent. They gave us some great tips on how to take of pics of birds in the garden.
