I saw this egret sitting in the middle of a field down Wood Lane this morning. I got 3 or 4 shots of him in the field and then he took to the air. It was a job to decide which one to post as I got a load of shots of him flying. Their flight is rather similar to the heron so I just followed him with my camera but it's always a job to have the right settings for flight shots after shooting him in the field.
I feel exhausted as I have been raking leaves most of the morning and have filled another 2 builders bags so it is good to sit down. I've got Escape to the country on TV as it is always nice to see different parts of the country and of course all the lovely houses they show. I'm off to Camera Club again tonight as it is the AV competition and I've entered 2 although the second one will only be shown if there is time. The first one is called Park Life and shows images through Bedford Park to the soundtrack of Blur's song of the same name. The second one is "In an English Country Garden" and Steve played the tune on his guitar so I have used that as a soundtrack showing birds, flowers, butterflies etc in my garden. I didn't do too badly in last night's competition - 16/20 on 2 of them and 17/20 on the other 2 and the judge's critique as interesting.
Thank you for getting yesterday's robin on PP. I am always amazed at how generous people are with their Favs and their comments. Thank you very much
I like nothing better than to watch Escape to the Country too Rosie! Fancy having your canal barge moored at the bottom of your garden! Perfect pose with those straight legs & opened wings.....must be gliding well!
