This is another shot from yesterday and was taken through the wire fence at Danish Camp which is not easy trying to get a shot without the fence criss crossing over it. There are all sorts of waterfowl at Danish Camp and they do tours around the garden in the summer. Perhaps I should go on one instead of trying to take photos through the fence!
I have been to see the surgeon about my foot today and he is going to fuse the joint and put a plate in it which will keep the toe stable so that I shouldn't have any more trouble. The Anaethetist will do a nerve block rund my ankle to make sure that I'm not in a lot of pain and it needs a general anaesthetic. He says that I won't be able to drive for 6 weeks!!!! I shall have to wear a special boot on it while it is healing and be given crutches. I can't say that I'm looking forward to it but at least once its done, fingers crossed, that I don't have any more trouble from it.
Thanks for getting both pics on PP yesterday - you really are vey kind.
I'm glad you're on a path to recovering from the pain - won't be fun in the short term but you know the future is going to be much more pleasant! How interesting to find a black swan - neat shot.
A beautiful capture so pretty. Good luck with your surgery, feet are a complicated buisness, I'm in the middle of guided X-ray injections before my specialist fuses and replaces my ankle just trying to put it off a bit longer.
Oh my goodness Rosie I didn't see your comment about your foot yesterday. Do you have a date for the operation ? Presumably after Chicago? Will you be ok walking while we are away? Not long now!
Good luck with the surgery, hope all goes well.
Lovely shot.
