This little metal box used to sit on my Mum's mantle piece but it is now sitting quite happily on mine. I don't know what kind of metal it is but looks like pewter. It is very old but is lined with silk and I just liked it although it may not be worth anything in monetary terms, it is very precious to me because it belonged to Mum
