When I took this shot of a corn bunting who also has a nest in the same patch of brambles, I didn't notice the flies but if you look carefully you can see 2 of them to the right of this little fellow. Corn buntings perhaps aren't quite as pretty as the yellowhammer but I was still pleased to see him.
I must admit since I had a new prescription for my contact lenses, I can definitely see better. Thank goodness for that!
