Banded demoiselle by rosiekind

Banded demoiselle

I was shocked to see that the wild flower meadows that I walk through on the way down to the lock have been left devoid of any plants and it looks as though someone is planning on building a load of houses down there. I certainly hope not but I have seen how the bushes have been cleared for some time where a possible road would lead onto the meadow. I will have a look at our local council website to see whether there have been any planning applications. It is such a shame as I like to walk through the fields to photograph birds, insects, etc. There was definitely a lack of birds today
You caught this colorful dragonfly in a pretty setting. I feel your disappointment as I noticed, on my drive to town, about a dozen trees cut down to make way for personal storage facilities.

Fave fir your dragon fly but bad news about possible housing! Don’t get me on that subject.....so many house being built everywhere! Don’t want to be NIMBYs but when they destroy beautiful nature places they go too far, you must be worried!
