Razor Smith was a career criminal who grew up in South London. From the age of 13, he was beaten up by the Police and accused of carrying out burglaries which he didn't do. After a "short sharp shock" in a Young Offenders institution where he was continually beaten by the prison officers, it was not surprising that he rebelled and turned to crime! The book is very sad in places but also humorous in other chapters. He was convicted of 58 crimes including armed robberies. I can't help wondering whether he would have had a different life if he hadn't had such a terrible time with the police in his formative years. While in prison, he learned to read and write and he has an Honours Diploma from the London School of Journalism as well as an A Level in Law. The book is so well written and is a hard to put down book. You can probably guess how he got his name Razor! He has written 8 books.
