Trying Times

This old chap was taking his walk along the Embankment in Bedford this afternoon. He had his walker and just took his time having a little walk. I wonder what his life has been like. I suppose today I took a couple of pics of strangers and I should have a go more often.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing (what was his life like)! Reminds me of the movie, Prelude to a Kiss with Meg Ryan.

So sweet. I often wonder also when I see people like this how much they have experienced. Nice shot.

touching, both the shot and your words.

I bet he has been a very active person all his life, and is still at it! He's not going to let a walker get in his way of keeping healthy! Very inspiring! Love your candid shot! Thanks for sharing.

Ha you and me both Rosie. Very sweet shot of this gentleman walking ever so carefully. Wonder if he was just going for a stroll or heading off for some groceries. Lovely light and beautiful tree. Really great capture.

Beautiful colors, and a touching capture. Are those the natural colors, or did you use some special effects? The green, especially, looks so intense and bright.

Lovely! We're so often guilty of not recognising the value of elderly people - they've had lives full of the trials, tribulations, joys and sorrows that we all have.

Lovely capture. Makes you think about the lives of others, it is so easy to be cocooned in your own little world.

Nice shot - last time was at the embankment the river had flooded and that bench was standing in water. Glad to see that it's back to normal.

@skstein I had the picture control set to vivid which just brightens things up a bit. I also had the ISO set to 800 as the light was going a bit but and I think the effect it had was to show the noise rather like a painting rather than having a detrimental efffect
