My father always liked his roses and when I was younger, I don't think I really appreciated them. However, I really like roses now and thought this one in our garden was particularly pretty. It also stands out really nicely against the dark background which was achieved by the settings on my camera. I shoot most things on manual settings and I'm pleased with the way I have progressed with my new camera. I don't really do post processing because I'm too lazy!
