I met this little spaniel on the path and he was all alone and quite timid as he wouldn't come very close to me and ran away when I held my hand out for him to sniff. I asked a lady in her garden if she knew who he belonged to because I was worried that he would get run over as he was running towards the road. She told me that he's always getting out and they have given up telling the owner about him as he does go back home. I can't understand why people don't make sure their fences are secure if they have a dog that constantly escapes. He's a lovely dog and I would hate for him to get run over.
How careless, they do not deserve a pet dog if they can not give it a secure home and care -My back garden is like Fort Knox fenced and the gate padlocked in case anyone got in and left the gate open and Alfie would go investigating elsewhere -- a dog with no road sense --sorry I will get off my soap box now !!
