Jack is permanently in the wars. The bottom right picture shows all the scars he has from altercations with the other horses in the herd. The bottom left shot shows his latest injury. He somehow managed to get quite a nasty puncture wound to his chest, which has now been stitched and has a drain inserted.
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.

Aww...poor guy! My mare got punctured in the chest this summer....no one knows how....needed stitches and drained....everything healed nicely and with her winter fur, you can't see anything. Can't feel any scar bump either.
@kathyo Glad to hear your girl healed well, hopefully Jack will too! He has been known to pull stitches out. This injury is only two days old and there is a lot of swelling still, so a rough road ahead for the next few days.
