Budgie by salza

Budgie

This budgie has been coming into the garden with the wild birds for seeds. We first saw it around the Easter weekend.

How odd! I wonder who's missing their pet! ;) Strange that the wild birds haven't chased it off.

Hello sweetheart! Do they live wild where you live or is this an escaped pet?

Oh, somebody got out of his cage and broke some poor child's heart when he flew away. Cute little fellow.

@kwiksilver at Easter when we first saw the budgie there was also a blue one but we only saw it twice!
@teiko @eyesmile these birds are usually only kept as pets here. They don't usually survive in the wild

@ericdibosco I have asked the neighbours if they know of anyone missing a budgie but nobody seems to know anything about it!

When I was young our family found a blue parakeet in our backyard and couldn't find it's owners. He was tame and knew how to talk, he said Tommy a lot, so we figured that was his name. He was an amazing bird. You may try to capture it. Cute little guy, nice shot.

how sweet. Try and catch this little fellow, it will not survive long out in the wild. At least he loves your home, and will visit regularly for food

awwwwww, how cute!!! I used to have an outdoor avairy with many budgies... and one day a wild one (colours exactly like this one) arrived, and she was always flying around the outside, never wanting to leave, so eventually my dad caught her in a sieve, (so I named her Sieve) and we put her inside with all the others...they were very happy to accept her into the flock, and later that year she even had her own little family with two chicks! :)
