I'm going to this isolated island to explore the birds and fauna for a week. It's known to rain all the time, be wet and windy to produce the eco system for many birds and plants. Lucky me, only one wet day is forecasted.
Chatham Island has a wonderful history and a tick on the bucket list for me. I'm looking forward to hearing the locals tell their story.

The Chatham Islanders are weary of mainlanders and the Covid situation. @peadar Travelling in groups limits stopping to take photos of what I want but there is always a photographer on these tours, so I had to team up and get the bus to stop. @jon_lip Thanks Jon One piece of info I can bring forward is my being there helped bring the average age down! @farmreporter Yes Wendy the forecast has been accurate for a weather beaten island. The light was always challenging by not seeing the sun and therefore little direct light. There was a low long subtle light that was nice in the evening and first light. @dide Ha yep am now home trying to catch up on my project and the images I took. Plus the jobs to do eeek
