I use Mt Maunganui aka The Mount as my marker when walking in the hills around Tauranga. It stands alone at the entrance to Tauranga Harbour and a popular place to climb the stairs to the summit. Today it has a slight haze at its base as I walk the Estuary Boardwalk.
