It was Christmas and took a break away from the track and returned home where I prepared for the rest of the South Island after spending time with friends and family.
Heading home overland meant leaving from St Arnaud to Picton to catch the ferry to Wellington. I then caught the bus to Tauranga. It was an experience with a full bus under Covid restrictions.
I will continue filling my project spaces with the places I stayed.
