Leaving the beauty of the mountains behind we had a leisure hike across the ridge and down the steep rocks to the lake. The conversation continued from the previous night making the blazing hot sun bearable. I accepted a ride to Wanaka from Tom and Saler to a cabin where my re-supply box was waiting for me. This marked an end to another section and time to set up for the next section to Queenstown completing trail admin and bookings ahead.
