The huts at the Aparima Hut site. by sandradavies

The huts at the Aparima Hut site.

On the left is the new hut complete with water tank and bunks for 12. In the middle is a bivvy that now stores firewood with a dirt floor but has evidence of the first hut on the site with old sacking and place for food storage. Far right is the old hut dedicated to an old deer culler. And just behind is the long drop.
Wonderful - so nice to see them preserving some history

@christinav I am sure these huts are still used. The deer cullers may still use the old hut for a month at a time. Dogs aren't allowed in the huts or on DOC land but this may be part of the station and privately owned.
