LIBERATION STATUE ON GELLERT HILL

On 21st our itinerary took us first to Estergom and then to Szentendre, both in Hungary. In between, we had a great meal at a Renaissance Restaurant. In the evening a river cruise was organised on the Danube River complete with another sumptious meal ( at which I ate nothing being still full from the mid-day one). Our holiday was somewhat marred by rain but our spirits and pleasure remained high throughout. Took this shot from the river boat when the sun was setting. It shows the Liberation Monument erected by the Soviets who had occupied Hungary when the German Nazis were defeated in World War II
wow, sounds like a fabulous holiday! beautiful silouette photo Dione. Enjoy your trip

@jenrobcarr Thanks Jennifer. The holiday is over now. We had a very good time and visited some lovely places notwithstanding the fact that we had rain throughout our holiday.
