HIVE OF ACTIVITIES

There was so much activity on and around the River Thames on graduation day because of the beautiful weather. People were out and strolling along the river walks or just sprawled on the green, absorbing the sun – reminded me of our Island with such beautiful sunshine almost all the year round. Captured several scenes of canoeists practising their hobby – thought these 2 were the best. Even the cows were out in force to give their support to the athletes.
Henley is inextricably linked with the Royal River Thames. Founded in the 12th century, and best known for the annual Royal Regatta, Henley attracts some of the world´s finest rowers. Statues of those great Olympians Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent greet visitors to the town´s award winning River and Rowing Museum which, unfortunately, we hadn’t time to visit.
Great shots - this collage is awkward as the rowers seem to be doing their thing in a pool above the girls paddling the outrigger kayaks on the river : )
