There is a stretch in between the ramparts and the road where seawater flows in and out and boats could be berthed. At the far end is a slipway for the boats. Fishing enthusiasts have built shanty huts made of all types of material where they could store their fishing tackle and boating equipment. Some take the opportunity to go down there to just sit there and enjoy a break from daily life.
I have never been down here and it was interesting to see all these huts. Unfortunately there was nobody around to give some life to the place.
