Sorry, guys, but I couldn’t resist posting this collage after that of yesterday.
As I said in one of my previous shots, at the Nationalist Party rally there was a concert by one of the best musicians on the Island accompanied by his band. My attendance there was primarily to watch this concert.
George Curmi, better known by his nickname – il-Puse’ – is a very talented all-round musician and a fabulous violinist. Besides forming part of the National Orchestra, he gives separate performances, either solo or with his own band. The day’s band consisted of 9 musicians. George comes from a family of musicians and with him in the band there were, his brother percussions and his 80 year old uncle. His 7-year son was also on the stage for two of their songs.
