Sunday, 29th December, was a fabulous day for me, photography-wise, when I had a whole day of photo-shooting opportunities.
On our way to the Parish Church of St Julians , a garage/store belonging to the parish of Balluta was open for visitors where one could go in and admire a walk-through crib show highlighting events as described in the bible starting with the Visitation up to the Flight into Egypt. The scenes were linked to each other with shows of running water or shepherds with their herds of sheep. All the figures in the presentation were of high quality and made of terracotta by the same persons who mounted the crib show. My brother and I had a quick tour of the place. I had a great temptation to take shots of all the scenes but desisted from doing so as I had already taken many shots of previous events. But I decided to take this shot of the Adoration of the Magi to post today which is the day the Catholic Church celebrates Epiphany. The statues are barely 6 inches tall.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s shot.
