A short break from my Tuscany commentary to show some shots from the Mosta festa. What a disappointment it was for me, photography-wise!
These are the only 3 decent shots I managed to take - all the others I deleted. I love how the colours came out in these but I don't like the shake at all. It is either because my tripod is not strong enough for the weight of the camera or else I need to invest in a remote switch. There are still festas to come and I will try for a remote first.
In the shot you can see the dome of the Mosta church which has the third biggest unsupported dome worldwide.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture
Dione, if I don't have my remote with me I set the self-timer to two seconds and that stops some of the shake. But these are gorgeous, you have captured them so well, fav!
Such fabulous colours. I think it's curable by a remote but try using your seld timer before anything...setting it ahead is a bit tricky with fireworks but you can do it. I really think this triptych is stunning. a fav
i can't help you, but i know how disappointing it is. i was experimenting with different settings today and ruined several pictures that could have been really good.
Thank you very much for the wonderful comments and the fav's. I am flattered by your great response. To say the truth I was between two minds whether to post them or not.
They look so colorful. I hear good photographers talking all the time about the remote switch for any shot with low light. I will probably invest in one in the future when I've improved enough to need it.
