BIGGEST OF THEM ALL

Shot taken on 27th June – Second day of our vacation.
This is the last of my cuckoo clocks shots, I promise.
This is claimed to be the biggest of cuckoo clocks and occupies one whole building. It took us over an hour to find the place – not sure it was worth the trouble. Most of all I liked the mechanism almost completely made of wood as you can see from the pictures.
Joke: Joe was invited for a night out with his friends. He promised his wife he would be back home by midnight.
Well, the hours passed quickly and the beer was going down way too easy. At 3am, drunk as a skunk, Joe headed for home.
Just as he got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed three times. Quickly, he realized his wife would probably wake up, so he cuckooed another 9 times. He was really proud of himself for having such a rapid, witty solution, even when smashed, to escape a possible conflict.
The next morning Joe’s wife asked what time he got in, and he told her 12 o'clock. She didn't seem disturbed at all. Got away with that one, he thought! Then she told him “we needed a new cuckoo clock. It has gone berserk - last night it cuckooed 3 times, then said, 'oh f**k,' cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more.... then farted."
Thank you so much for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
It is very impressive and looks great from the outside. The joke made me laugh :)

I think we visited this place when we lived in Germany and our American visitors bought us a lovely little cuckoo clock which we still have. The little children love it.
