When I walked to Paradise Bay the other day, I had parked my car outside this hotel. From there I started my long walk to Ċirkewwa. I had planned that besides Ċirkewwa I would go to take shots of another coastal tower at L-Aħrax because when I went with Max I didn’t make it up to there due to the extra long walk and the time lapse.
The Labranda has a magnificent view of the coast and the open sea and I had to take a shot of it. I was not sure whether to post this shot r not till the very end put finally posting it won.
Our tourist industry which is one of the pillars of our economy has suffered big losses because of Covid19. But there is hope that things will be much better as the vaccine starts having its effect on the world population.
Thank you so much for all your congratulations and wishes on the first day of my 11th year on 365. The first thing I do each morning is to post my shot of the day which I prepare on the previous day. Though I take pictures almost every day I have a long queue of pictures which I want to post and which I don't want to keep out so I rarely post on the same day.
So amazing that you are on year 11 on here! Love looking at Malta through your eyes. One day I shall visit the country for myself, I hope. Tourism has taken such a bashing through covid all over the world. It will return at some point, but I imagine many of the original businesses will have gone to be replaced by new ones.
That's quite an imposing hotel. The tourism industry has had a very hard time here in York as well, with many job losses. However our lockdown continues. I find the restrictions hard, but I hope they stay in place until levels of infection are much lower.
A lovely shot of this hotel, I love the blues in this.
