poppy petals

I sometimes don't have/make time to look at all the things growing in my garden. Today was so beautiful and sunny I made the effort and found this 'probably past its best' poppy. Loved the angle and textures so have found a frame in picnik and had some fun.
I do love poppies. Sad I missed this a few days ago. Perhaps the rain limited its glory this year!

Poppies are so mysterious - this year my garden is full of huge and I mean 4ft high pink and shades of purple poppies with very fleshy stems - where did they come from I never planted them???? Love your poppy pic :-)
